Checking In: The Bold Hotel Munich

After approximately 5 hours on the train coming from Frankfurt, I arrived in Munich and checked myself into The BOLD.

The feeling of walking into somewhere new or experiencing somewhere for the first time has never fallen short for me. I quickly checked in, made my way up to the 7th floor, dropped my bags, took a quick glimpse of my surrounding, walked toward the rooftop terrace…  I was relieved.

It was my first time 10minutes in Munich and I was already loving it. Let walk you through my time here at Bold Hotel Munich.

Checking In: The Bold Munchën 

I had just gotten off a cab after my 5-hour train journey from Frankfurt. In a rush, I quickly made my way to the reception area, passed up my name and whilst waiting, I couldn’t help but to admire the decor, the style.

Situated in the city center, just a few seconds walk from the Poccistrasse subway station— perfectly in place for easy access. The minute you come through the doors, you will realize the stylish decor, the accented colours and the new, temporary urban-art feel that comes with it.

Each room is aesthetically designed, with a kitchenette and a balcony/roof-terrace.

Inside the Rooms 

What I really like about The BOLD, is that it is a mid-highrise with the 7th Floor being the highest point. It gives you a view over the city and a perfect seat for sunset too. When I first walked into my room, I was head over heels with the interior design, the lighting itself and just the complete setup.

A suite on the 7th floor, with a balcony overlooking the city and a kitchenette to go with it. I could spend days upon days here. (If only I had the time). The rooms are spacious, comfortable and feel like a home away from home.

The room rate includes a complimentary breakfast buffet. With the 85 rooms available on property, 79 of them comes with a balcony or roof terrace. Be sure to specify which room you’d like when going through the booking process.

You can spend late evenings to take in the views of the city and to enjoy the sunsets, (I made sure to do this on my very first evening here.)

The Dining Experience 

Breakfast is served every morning on the ground level from 6:30am-10am. If you have been in Germany long enough, you’ll realize that sausages, cold cuts and pretzels are a big deal here. All served at breakfast in addition to a varied of other dishes which I absolutely appreciated.

If you’re looking for a late evening chill zone; no worries, they’ve got you. The lounge and bar area is open for 24-hours.

The Outdoor Experience 

The Bold Hotel is located right next to the Poccistrasse metro stop.  It is 3 stops away from the main city center (Marienplatz) which take approximately 5-7 minutes.

The surrounding area is pretty quiet and somewhat quaint. Also, if you are a looking to participate in future Oktoberfests, The Bold is located right within the zone. Nothing I appreciate more than easy access in between events. Enjoy!
