My first official trip of the year started a few days ago and I am happy to have kicked it off in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

While spending a few days to explore Jamaica’s second city, I had the pleasure of being hosted at the Nautical Homes Miramar, Montego Bay location.

Currently a listing on Airbnb, this Miramar location is super swanky.  With a hint of contemporary art decor and an effortlessly chic approach to modern luxe accommodations, the condo listing is a great find.

For those who are looking for a  staycation right outside of the city, the stylish condo is equipped with a swimming pool, gym, an outdoor patio, and enough room to accommodate 6 guests all at once.

Located just 10 minutes outside the city of Montego Bay, this Airbnb location was everything I was looking for in the coastal city with a population of just over 100,000 inhabitants — Zen, Nature, Ocean View and close enough in distance to and from the city and the “must see” locations.

If this is your first time to Montego Bay and have the “hot picks” on your list of places to see, things to do, and restaurants to check out then you couldn’t have picked a better location.  While being minutes away from the “hot picks” including the hit strip, Miramar manages to maintain the idea of a “hideaway spot”.

From here, you can easily get a view of the ocean. From the pool deck, you can see the cruise ships cruising towards the port.

The rooms do not actually capture the ocean view, but can be clearly seen from the balconies.

Airbnb Jamaica

The idea of Airbnb is to give travellers and vacationers the option of having a unique and homely experience. What I appreciated most about using this service, is that, it gives me a chance to connect more with my surroundings and the options of choosing where exactly you vacation is vast. I am Always in search of unique and off-the-beat spots. Airbnb never disappoints! A hint of uniqueness: this Airbnb listing also has a zip-lining option.

If you’re visiting the second city anytime soon, I’d totally recommend Miramar for visitors looking to escape the crowds but still stay in close range with the “hot picks”.
